Nestled within a gated enclave of mature woodlands, the Lodge overlooks the tranquil 14th hole of Dromoland Golf Club. Here, you are immersed in the breathtaking natural beauty of County Clare’s rolling landscapes. Awaken to the cheerful chorus of songbirds at dawn, then savor your morning coffee in the sun-filled conservatory, where gentle light pours through the windows. On quiet mornings, you may even be graced by the sight of shy wild deer passing gracefully through the grounds.

Accommodating up to ten guests, the Lodge features five beautifully appointed bedrooms and seven bathrooms, offering a variety of room configurations to suit your needs. Earl of Thomond: This restaurant is as grand as can be, with those soaring ceilings and astonishing crystal chandeliers. This is a place where silver cloches and old-world service will always have a home.  With the assistance of a talented and focused brigade, Executive Head Chef David McCann conjures a culinary folktale for his guests. Familiar, comforting dishes, grounded in classical techniques, are transformed with deft, imaginative flourishes into memorable experiences—his menus, which evolve with the seasons, illuminate flavors from the untamed landscapes of the Burren.

The Fig Tree Restaurant: An elegant, unfussy and welcoming space in all weathers. On a damp day, settle into cosy fireside chairs with friends and swap stories over perfect pints or a measure of rare whiskey. If it’s a sunny evening, head for the patio to enjoy drinks or dinner outside, served within the gentle atmosphere of Dromoland’s historic walled gardens.  Choose from bar snacks and sandwiches, soups, salads, or steaks, gourmet pizzas, and elevated “pub grub” favourites such as burgers, fish, and chips. Equally popular with resort guests, golf club members, and chatty locals, it’s a great spot for a mellow meal followed by some friendly conversation.

Cocktail Bar: Intimate, intricate, inviting, The Cocktail Bar at Dromoland was once the O’Brien family’s wonderful library. A fantastical octagonal room with cosy window seats overlooking the Castle lawns, you can enjoy a casual meal or snack from The Gallery menu, or simply sit back with a drink while soaking up the regal views.  An extensive cocktail list is available alongside beers on tap and a superb selection of wine, Irish whiskey, and gin.

Mrs. White's Afternoon Tea: Enjoy a selection of finger sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream and homemade jams, delicate pastries, and our signature tea brack, all served with fine loose-leaf teas in sparkling silver teapots. Settle into a cosy nook by the fire and savour a Festive Afternoon Tea, or elevate the occasion with a Champagne Afternoon Tea featuring a glass of Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve or Champagne Rosé

It’s a game of many moods: stern one moment and mischievously playful the next, offering exhilarating challenges to golfers of every level.
